Drunk Again 05:46
I'm a' sitting at the bar now, a coke and whisky in my hand I'm a' holding up the bar now, a coke and whisky in my head You know me and Jack and Jimi We been singing in the band Well I feel like a motherless child, when you kiss me I'm a man Said I feel like a motherless child, when you kiss me I'm a man Don't expect you to agree I just wish you'd understand There's seven wise men in the corner, and I'm just pissing away the time There's seven wise men in the corner, and I'm just pissing away the time I been in this shape for months now Just trying to drink you off my mind I feel that New York wind a' blowin, you know it chills me to my soul Feel that New York wind a' blowin, lord it chills me to my soul Try so hard to hide my shame Drink till I forget my name How could you do this to me honey, when you're supposed to be my friend How could you do this to me honey, you always said you were my friend Well it cuts me deep down honey So I'll just sit here drunk again

Morning sunlight shone on her face There's no pretending we didn't go our separate ways The future seemed to bright to see Now it's gone instead of you there's just me I know I can be stupid, and no, I'm not blind You always told me my words could be so unkind And now I'm lost you see, but the reality Is the ring that you left by my bedside this morning It told me I'm out of luck All the ways I could've shown that you mean everything Instead of you I'm left with this ring It's 2:30, I'm lying in bed Just reliving all the hurtful things I said Can't get this past far enough away Don't think I can go on another day I imagine how you feel, running far away There's no hope in believing you'll come back today I never though that I could ever let you go But the ring that you left by my bedside this morning It tells me, I'm all out of luck All the ways I could've shown, that you mean everything Instead of you I'm left with this ring Instead of you I'm left with this ring

Withered by the wind she rushes hastened by the break of day Don't you see the silver duchess lost in her magnetic sway Charging the witches she can turn around the darkest night Instantly dissolving into microscopic shards of light She might be frustrated but I think she looks elated CHORUS And I get this feeling deep within my eyes I feel the psychedelic wisdom of a thousand burning suns Monumental mongooses are rescuing a girl from fear You can see them laugh as they explode into the atmosphere Galaxies astound us as the planets swim around us CHORUS (instrumental) CHORUS Snakes that snuck and slithered But a heroin is Withered by the wind she rushes hastened by the break of day Don't you see the silver duchess lost in her magnetic sway CHORUS

Nothing in creation like my three eyed girl Well I traveled all of the USA Been from Boston down to San Francisco bay But I never seen a girl like this, I ain't telling lies Well she's got red hair, stand 5 foot 2 I really like her giggle and her Brunswick stew But get this ya'll, the girl has got three eyes Well you heard me right, two eyes of blue And a third one in the middle just lookin' at you She was born that way and it's all she's ever known Well it really don't matter 'bout that extra eye When she spends time with me I'm a lucky guy And she sends my heart right on out to the Twilight Zone CHORUS Well I'm so happy bout my three eyed girl with her shake and a' wiggle and a head full of curls You can keep your fashion models my heads in a whirl Ain't nothing in creation like my three eyed girl Well she keeps an eye on me and another one on you And she uses the third one to scan the menu There's nothing in the room that she won't be able to see If you mess with her then you better be afraid I wonder where she ever buys a pair of sunshades She's lean and mean and she only belongs to me Well she's so pretty, knocks me out of my senses She wears not two but three contact lenses I've never seen a girl that could ever look so right We kiss when she's driving two eyes are closed But she uses the third one to watch the road With her hands on the wheel, we roar off into the night (CHORUS) Three eyed girl, three eyed girl Giving up a portrait for a three eyed girl Eyes of three, lucky me I'd chase her all over the world (CHORUS)

You walked in the party on a spider's legs It's three p.m. before you crawl out of bed Same old blues and reds got you down in the dregs Can't seem to win you're on the street again You're going down the alley like a pack of dogs Eyeing all the floozies while you choke on the smog Amphetamine friends let you down again Gotta do it right it's Saturday night Let's go! Let's go! Let's go let's go let's go to the rock'n'roll show Music is my religion, rock'n'roll is my salvation Music is my religion, rock'n'roll Gotta go down and unload my head Shake all the windows break all the beds The kids bang on the doors and the singer has a snort The heavenly sound tears a hole in the ground Let's go! Let's go! Lets go, let's go let's go to the rock'n'roll show

Babydoll 14:01
Babydoll sleeps in the morning Babydoll's out all night Babydoll keeps my world turning Babydoll keeps me right Loving from my babydoll And if she goes away, I'm gonna stand in the pouring rain Babydoll's eyes are the stars Babydoll's love is the sky Babydoll makes the colors brighter Babydoll destroys my mind Kisses from my babydoll And if she said goodbye, you'd see a grown man start to cry Babydoll rains down on me Babydoll brightens the night Babydoll keeps the fire burning Babydoll keeps my love alive Kisses from my babydoll And if she said goodbye you'd see a grown man start to cry Babydoll paints on the ceiling Babydoll sweetens the day Babydoll speaks and everybody listens Babydoll knows that I'm here to stay Loving from my babydoll And if she said goodbye you'd see a grown man start to cry

about

Recorded at @tmosphere in Georiga, December 12th 2012

This concert was recorded and engineered by Ned Lane and the recordings were mixed by Ned and I. The event was planned and executed in a matter of weeks, raising money for the American Red Cross after Hurricane Sandy tore through parts of the East Coast. The show also featured the bands Critical Velocity and Redneck Blonde. The concert would not have been possible without the help of many friends, some but not all of whom include Tommy and Tracey McLaughlin, Ava and the staff at @tmosphere, and Jamie Dempsey, as well as all the vendors and especially all those who attended the concert.

While some basic EQ'ing and volume adjustments were made, absolutely no musical parts were added or re-recorded after the fact, nor was any part of this recording passed thru any "auto-tuning" processing...what you hear is what went down that night folks!

One song, a cover of The Rolling Stones' song "Gimme Shelter" was recorded that night, but cannot be released thru this website due to licensing issues. Not in a "they sued us" sense, just in a "the licensing costs HOW much!?!" kind of way. Too bad, because our Mike made a very convincing black lady on the middle eight.

Among the bonus tracks are a two-part edit of "Babydoll" prepared specially for internet radio, a "sampler" of the concert edited together as a soundtrack to a promo video, and some selections from a different concert from October of that year. This show was at Club Famous in Georgia and was the first show Frank played with the band. Although these recordings are VERY lo-fi (literally recorded on a phone courtesy of Zach's wife Amanda) they are included here for their significance to the band. EQ'ing and compression were done to clean up the sound, but make no mistake...it's still pretty rough. It also serves to show how hard the band worked and how much tighter we were sounding by just a couple of months later at the Red Cross show. Yes boys and girls, it DOES pay to rehearse!

An interesting footnote, the band Critical Velocity featured the drumming talents of none other than our friend and former member Alex Bayless, just a few months after his departure from Daybreaker. It was a very strange thing to be playing a show and seeing him in the audience and not behind me!

I loved this concert and had a blast mixing it and assembling this album, and we hope you'll enjoy it too!
